Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, but lets face it...LA Predator was far inferior to Jungle Predator. Yes, fan lore states that both of these guys were young punks looking to make a name for themselves but they went about it in two very different ways:

1) Easy Prey- Jungle Predator only hunted the elite of human warriors, silently stalking not one but two groups of green berets in the most difficult terrain he could find. But this young buck decided to drop down in the middle of a drug war just to stalk men who were neither as physically fit or as heavily armed. Yeah they were "well armed" but showed little discipline and creativity (except for the badassery of Danny Glover) most of his prey clearly didn't know what they were doing. He was just running around killing anybody with a gun towards the middle of the film.

2) No Patience- Jungle Predator spent days out there, waiting, watching. But LA Predator jumped on to the scene with no regard for stealth. He was even so sloppy that he allowed himself to be tracked by humans! His own prey found his hiding place and he nearly got captured because of it. (By nearly I mean he had to take six seconds out of his day to kill Gary Busey but still...sloppy). LA Predator even failed to self destruct, allowing his prey to rob him of honorable death and took his hand off the only weapon he had left and nearly fell off a building.

3) Easy Hunting Ground- Meat hangs from hooks and there are dozens of people everywhere. Jungle Predator had to bid his time to find ONE target worth taking, this guy had dozens and dozens.

4) No Stealth- He stands in full view of his prey in a lightening storm? Jungle Predator rarely dropped his stealth, hiding like a true hunter to strike at his prey with laser precision. LA Predator drops on a train in midday traffic. Kills a drug lord in front of hundreds of witnesses?

Ranking the films strictly by "Predator Competency" we get:

Jungle Predator: Good hunter, great Predator.

"Wolf" Predator: He was not hunter but he didn't miss a step. Wolf was there for one reason and one reason only: Kill Xenomorphs! He didn't want trophies and he didn't want to make friends. *beep* the humans, they're prey and bait.

Scar and the other AVP boys: First you guys fail to kill squishy Xenos in your own temple, then your last surviving member gets a little crush on an Earther? You don't kiss your prey, Scar.

LA Predator: Did you see the look on that clan leader's face? He was humiliated, dude thought to himself "Kids today, no discipline."

Zorbek:The Ooman/human she is kick ass and strong and a Nobel warrior and will kill to save her predator friend.


Sain'ja/Warrior: predator/Yautja he is protective of Zorbek, and if any male harts her thay will go on his wall.
